Marvin C. Gutter

Marvin Gutter practices in the areas of federal tax dispute resolution, business combinations, estate planning and probate matters.

Mr. Gutter obtained his law degree from Hofstra Law School (Magna cum laude 1976). He is also a certified public accountant. Mr. Gutter is a past chair of the Tax Sections of the Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association. Mr. Gutter is a founding member of the South Florida Tax Litigation Association and is active in a number of other professional associations. He is recognized in the book the Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in tax controversy matters, has been awarded the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has written and lectured extensively on tax and estate planning topics, including numerous Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education programs.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Gutter served as a trial attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service. He is an adjunct professor in the graduate estate planning program at the University of Miami Law School where he lectures on procedure and ethics.
